Our Approach

New Learning Solutions for a Complex World

Pentball.gif (1381 bytes) We believe the world of one-off improvement, however radical, is gone. Instead, organisations need strategies which evolve and grow continuously. And so must the people in them.

Pentball.gif (1381 bytes)We focus on the needs of Senior Executives who are trying to create flexible, flat, customer focused, virtual organisations for success in the new business world.

Pentball.gif (1381 bytes)We help to develop people to manage change and implement strategies by providing continuous and highly tailored learning.

All learning programmes are very tailored to the particular needs of a company or an individual and take the form of courses, workshops, individual mentoring or seminars with a strong emphasis on simulated environments (including virtual reality computer simulations) and live exercises. Wherever possible, the delegates' real life issues are used in preference to theoretical case studies. Learning support is also provided through on-line computer mentoring using Lotus Notes or the Internet. The groups may be mixed or dedicated to one company. A wide range of offers is available from the full network of tutors. However, Professor Eddie Obeng, founder member of the Business School, concentrates on Change Management, Strategic Programme Management, Business Process Re-engineering, Project Management and Leadership, Team skills, Virtual Teams and Virtual Organisational Development,

The approach used is not that of consultancy - The Virtual Business School network is made up of practical educators. Their aim is to enable people to understand their real life problems (such as company politics, managing teams, stakeholder management and resource issues) and to solve them on an ongoing basis by providing the necessary skills. The Virtual Business School delivers local continuous learning and support.
